Ed and Rachel Goode
Ed and Rachel Goode are lead church planters at The Bridge FWB Church. The Bridge Church is a joint church plant project between the Illinois FWB Mission Board and North American Ministries. Serving alongside the Goodes are the Garretts, FWBNAM associate planters, and the Penns, FWBIM missionaries to the University of Illinois. Ed was born in the United Kingdom and holds a history degree from Reading University. Rachel comes from North Carolina and has a degree in Christian education from Southeastern FWB College. Previously, the Goodes spent five years in ministry at First FWB Church in Richmond, VA, where Ed served as lead pastor. Champaign, IL, is the fastest-growing city outside of Chicago in the state. Besides its booming population of over 200,000, Champaign is also home to over 50,000 college students from the University of Illinois, which houses the largest proportion of international students of any college in the US, providing The Bridge with uniquely diverse ministry opportunities.
